This song always seemed to me, and I think I’m right here, a sly critique of being reliable and well respected really just being akin to being forever mired in a boring routine. So I extended that bit to the illogical extreme in which a reliable fella violating his boring routine life in fairly boring routine ways carries doom for those around him. It’s a bit of a lark, but I think it’s fun and hit the target nicely. I also really like how well the image I found for the piece highlights that theme.
And that’s honestly all I have to say about this one.
