Tim Stevens is Un Gajje

It's not just a nickname, it's a way of life

Hello and welcome! So glad to have you joining us.

I am Tim Stevens, husband, father, booster of all things Newington, CT related etc etc. It seems unlikely you just found this site by accident so all that was probably review. Anyway, I freelance write for a variety of sites including, most prominently, Marvel.com (home of the House of Ideas) and New Paris Press (New England's online answer to the New Yorker). I also write for pure ha-ha's including the annual Tim Stevens's The January Project.

Oh, and then there's the whole almost a Doctor of Psychology thing (Psy D to be specific).

I am available for further freelance work, birthday parties, and dangerous missions to save the planet. Happy to provide samples and recommendations related to all three.

This is my online home. Please enjoy.

This Site!

Throwback Thursday hit on a Tuesday because, amongst its numerous other sins, Transformers: The Last Knight decided to come out on a Wednesday. So I looked at the previous Transformers, Age of Extinction. And yeah, it's bad.

Thus, the Tuesday List got bumped until Thursday. But it brought the heat to the plate with the definitive ranking of Major League Baseball mascots.

In my ongoing "reviewing podcasts I like" feature, I covered The Bright Sessions, a podcast about a therapist working with people with super powers who are not super heroes.

Marvel.com!

Tim Sheridan's favorite super hero returns to the Psych Ward. That's right...it's CABLE!

I don't know if you've heard what's been happening with Captain America lately but people are LOVING it! But maybe his girlfriend and partner Sharon Carter isn't. I traced their love from its nascent beginnings to its complex present.

Netflix's darling, Iron Fist, has a great comic that reaches the climax of its first arc next month and I spoke to writer Ed Brisson about the dangerous opponent awaiting Fist at the end of the road.

Then, shock and twist!, HYDRA kidnapped me and forced me to profile Miles Morales. But longtime fans of Psych Ward will spot how I resist, quietly..
