I am Tim Stevens, husband, father, booster of all things Newington, CT related etc etc. It seems unlikely you just found this site by accident so all that was probably review. Anyway, I freelance write for a variety of sites including, most prominently, Marvel.com (home of the House of Ideas) and New Paris Press (New England's online answer to the New Yorker). I also write for pure ha-ha's including the annual Tim Stevens's The January Project.
Oh, and then there's the whole almost a Doctor of Psychology thing (Psy D to be specific).
I am available for further freelance work, birthday parties, and dangerous missions to save the planet. Happy to provide samples and recommendations related to all three.

The February Prompt refers to what I hope is an ongoing (albeit delayed this year to coincide with this launch) romance-themed writing prompt that is open to those who wish to be a part of it in which they select a song and craft some bit of fiction--be it poetry, dialogue, monologue, or prose--around whatever that song inspires in them.

Read More…Here we are on March 5th, 2012 and we have reached the end of the 1st Annual (did I say Annual? Well, who knows?) Breaking Up to A Beat contest. All total the site presented 14 different stories (excluding my own) by 11 different writers (again, excluding me). All of us hope that at least some of our tales tickled your funny bone, plucked at your heart strings, or sent chills up your spine. We also hope that not too many of them made you think, “I totally have experienced that.”
