Sometimes I do things with the January Project that make me smirk or laugh, but that I also more than a little embarrassed about. This would be one of them. There’s another coming soon.
Anyway, this usually happens when I either a.) get stuck on a dumb idea that fills my head so much that there’s no room for any other ideas or b.) I just can’t come up with anything. For “Paper” the latter was more the case. I was wracking my brain but could come up with nothing (and I do mean nothing) of worth to do with this song. So I ended up going with a faux epic opening crashing into a grocery list swerve “joke.” It amused me but I completely understand if you were annoyed or disappointed.
