Dear Diary,

I don’t know what to do.

They’re all liars.

Mom. Dad. Even Grammy. Liars.

They tell me everything is fine, but I know better.

My friends at school swear to me that I’m crazy. That I have nothing to worry about. That no one thinks that way about me. But they’re liars.

I know what I know. I know what my senses tell me. I am in the world. I am an empiricist. I know the truth because I can see it. Feel it. They’re liars. Horrible liars.

I know what I see in the mirror. I know how I feel in my clothes. I know the truth. I can’t stand the lies. Not anymore. They can pretend all they want. Pretend and reassure. But I know the truth.

Liars. All of them. Liars. Everywhere. But I see. My eyes don’t lie. My skin doesn’t lie. I know the truth about me.

And now, I know the truth about them.
